Bouldering is a style of climbing that is becoming more and more popular. It uses walls up to 15 feet high and very thick mats on the ground, making falls controlled and safe. This activity requires strength, flexibility, creativity, and an energetic mindset. Only climbing shoes are required for bouldering (these can be rented on site).

Yes, bouldering is a safe sport. Although no harnesses are used, the walls are lower than for traditional climbing (max. 15 feet) and the mats are much thicker. Safety standards are strictly adhered to and climbers get all the information and supervision they need to stay safe. Our staff provide a free introductory session where you will learn how to fall properly on the mats, classic rock climbing moves, basic warm-up techniques, and the rules for safe climbing.

No certification is required for bouldering. If you’ve never practised this sport or would like to learn more about it, our staff will be happy to offer you a free introductory session. You’ll learn the basics such as how to descend properly and fall onto the mats, the main climbing moves, and how to warm up before climbing.

All you need is climbing shoes! If you don’t have any, you can rent them on site.

You can pause your membership for a monthly fee, which keeps your account active. You can do so any month of the year before the next payment date. To view our rates, click here.

Children are welcome at Rose Bloc. Please note that our installations are designed for adults and teenagers. A child with good physical motor skills can still climb the installations. Each child 7 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult in a ratio of one adult for each child. Children 8 to 12 years old must also be supervised by an adult at a ratio of one parent for every two children. Some exceptions may apply.

Yes, the minimum age to be alone at the climbing centre is 13.

Yes, you can rent climbing shoes from the reception desk. We also have a store at the gym where you can buy your own climbing shoes.

Yes, there are chalk containers at the gym for everyone’s use. Chalk helps climbers get a better grip when climbing.
